Barbarouses - Enjoying Athens life

He is on loan to Greek club Panathinaikos from his Russian club Alania Vladikarkaz until the end of the season. It suits him. Being of Greek heritage, he has settled quickly and feels comfortable at the Athens-based club.

Junior All Whites open with win in Fiji.  

New Zealand U20s has opened their campaign to qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey with a 5-0 win against Papua New Guinea in Fiji. Wellington Olympic's Van Elia was an un-used sub for the Junior All Whites. Next up for Van and the Junior All Whites - Vanuatu, Sunday 23rd March.

Back in Action!

Wellington Olympic are back in action and training hard for the season ahead. They will kick start the year with the annual Hilton Petone Pre-Season Cup.  

The draw for the 2013 Caltex Railway Avenue Tournament for the Hilton Petone Cup has been released. The tournament will start on Sunday 17 February and ALL games will be played on Sundays.

Wellington Olympic U19s have started their campaign with an impressive 5 – 0 win over Stopout.  

The side this season is coached by Central League coach Mick Waitt, with the assistance of Capital Premier coach Matt Kolic. The club are also proud to announce that club captain Maki Halikias has taken up the managerial role - his six years’ experience as a player up in Napier will benefit all involved.
