Wellington Olympic AFC | R3 Preview

Wellington Olympic AFC | R3 Preview

IT’S all on tomorrow at Wakefield with the majority of all Olympic teams playing at the Park, kicking off with our Master’s from 12.30pm on No. 4.

What a fantastic experience for the Club to have so many of our teams playing at home on the same weekend – and not just “home” games – BUT AT WAKEFIELD PARK, TOO!!
Overall, last week’s results were pretty successful for the first game out for the Club. It was harrowing for all our teams, knowing they’d jumped up a division or two overnight, with almost zero pre-season training. So well done Olympic!!
This week’s fixtures start tomorrow with the last game being played on Wednesday night. Hopefully the clear skies and warmth will hold out so we can all enjoy our football-fest.
Our 1st team kicks off AT THE EARLIER TIME OF 1.30pm TOMORROW. If you know any of our supporters who won’t get to see this post, please spread the word to them!!
We’ll be hosting rivals, Napier, and although you’ll be expecting our boys to be wearing the proud Blue, unfortunately, it will be Napier who will be wearing the Blue outfit with Olympic wearing ALL WHITE. This is due to a hiccup with Napier’s away strip, so Olympic, in the best spirit of the game, have accommodated Napier in their request to wear their home strip. But don’t be alarmed, it will be Olympic wearing BLUE BLUE BLUE when they meet Napier in the return game.
So we need all our supporters out there with their “Ole” chants and passionate cheering for the Whites tomorrow!! Don’t forget – 1.30PM KICKOFF!!! The game is immediately followed by our 2nd team, then 3rd – so busy day at Wakefield!
