The 29-year-old Lawrence has been at the club for a very long time. He started his footballing career as a junior at the club and has gradually progressed through the ranks; for many years he was a key member of the Under 19s and reserve team before becoming a regular in the senior men’s first team.
Chas’s family has been involved in the club for many years, he is the son of former Olympic striker Imre Foldi and the older brother of current Olympic star Clayton Lewis. Everyone at Wellington Olympic AFC is delighted to have Lawrence re-sign for season 2015, showing his loyalty as a club man.
The technically gifted left sided player will provide the experienced needed within the squad and will provide competition for fellow left back Aleem Sheik.
The 2009 ASB Chatham Cup and 2010 Central League winner has quality all round, he’s a fantastic crosser in the final third and doesn’t shy away from any long range efforts on goal.
In 2014, Chas made 19 appearances across all competitions for the first team; having played in seventeen Lotto Men’s Central League games, and also two ASB Chatham Cup ties.
The club are very pleased to have Chas re-sign for the season 2015, he has had a number of quality seasons at the club and we look forward to another big season from Chas.
